TechFuel shows Memphis is emerging as entrepreneurial hatching ground

Members of LaunchMemphis readily acknowledge that the Bluff City hasn't traditionally been identified as a hotspot for technological entrepreneurship.
But that attitude is changing, leaders say, and the TechFuel forum held Thursday at Mercury Launchpad -- located inside Emerge Memphis at 516 Tennessee -- is evidence of the city's expanding identity.
The conference, which was aimed at entrepreneurs interested in learning more about technology trends and innovations, attracted a capacity crowd. It featured media and marketing experts Adrian Ho from Zeus Jones in Minneapolis and C. C. Chapman from The Advanced Guard in Boston.
