TN Enterprise Network
The Tennessee Enterprise Network (TEN) is an operating committee created by the TTDC board as a statewide network of support systems that serve a general public interest, but also helps to provide customized services for high-potential technology entrepreneurs. TEN’s goals are to foster entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial culture in Tennessee, assist in the infrastructure required for an innovation and technology-driven economy and evaluate and enhance Tennessee’s innovation capacity.
TEN achieves these goals through building partnerships with existing business-assistance service providers such as “incubators,” university entrepreneurship programs, Tennessee Small Business Development Centers, extension services of secondary education institutions, and other support organizations with a statewide footprint. TEN also sponsors projects such as the Tennessee Innovation Conference & Venture Showcase.
TEN will be managed by a committee of five members of the TTDC Board. Other members will include university entrepreneurship faculty, leaders of statewide small businesses, agricultural and manufacturing services support networks and regional economic development district leaders.
