Tennessee Technology Development Corporation (TTDC) is an independent, non-profit corporation that designs, implements and manages technology-based economic development programs in service to the state of Tennessee. TTDC serves as the state’s trusted advisor on strategic initiatives related to venture capital formation, research and development activity and high-potential entrepreneurship – the economic drivers of the 21st century innovation economy.
With strong ties to the state’s technology, research, academic, government and investment communities, TTDC plays a vital role in connecting entrepreneurs and scientists with the state’s financial leaders to facilitate the commercialization of promising technological innovations and discoveries. Based in Nashville but statewide in scope, TTDC is an innovative creation by the Tennessee General Assembly with specific economic development responsibilities that complement the work of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. TTDC is funded under an agreement with the state of Tennessee.
